A man got depressed because Warner Bros refuse to greenlight his show despite going all out like putting it on Billboards and shit to the point that he had to go to therapy, and this is how everyone response.
Dodge's post btw
Everyone is all for mental health and animation, but if it's someone they dislike or a series they hate/don't care about.. everyone suddenly folds. It's okay to hate or even dislike a piece of media sure, but don't go so far that you have to put someone down or make fun of them for being depress for a reasonable reason, like, if I were to make a show that i put so much time to it, then warner bros or another cartoon studio decide to put it up on their youtube channel as well as put it on billboards and copyright the name ect. only for them to shelve it without letting the series see the light of day, I would also fall into depression and feel like they were tugging me along just to hurt me.
But yeah, fuck everyone who claims that they support mental health and animation only to do said bullshit like this

The Learning With Pibby short has become much harsher in highsight when you take into account that Zaslav has dismantled Cartoon Network and is now selling all its shows and movies for scrap.

Chapter 1: Pibby's Big Surprise!
You tune in just as the intro has ended. This episode wasn't on the broadcast schedule, but it's not something to be too concerned about.
Pibby and Bun Bun look at you with frozen smiles within their places on the logo.
"Learning with Pibby!" the voices of multiple children cheer.
The logo fades, taking you to a slightly clouded sky with Mr. Sun off to the side.
He smiles as Pibby's voice reads out the text on screen with more enthusiasm than you're used to hearing for the title. "Episode 200! Pibby's Big Surprise!"
Mr. Sun winks at you with a light, 'ding!' before your view slowly pans down to the ground below with Pibby and Bun Bun standing in an open grassy field.
Pibby greets you with a big smile and a wave. "Hi, I'm Pibby!"
Bun Bun adorably mimics her, "and I'm Bun Bun!”
"We're so happy to see you!" Pibby continues. “Because today is a very special day!"
Bun Bun looks confused at Pibby. He tilts his head, his ears flopping to the side. "It is?"
Pibby nods down at him, clapping her hands together. "That's right, Bun Bun! Today is a special day because we have a surprise!"
Bun Bun beams, "a surprise?!"
"SURPRISE!" a disembodied voice announces, accompanied by cheerful celebration jingles as the multicolored letters of 'SURPRISE' float above them. Both Pibby and Bun Bun gasp joyously.
"Wow!" Pibby once more looks to you, "we already have one of our words of the day!" She pulls out a small magenta journal and holds it out in front of her as she explains, "throughout the day, we have special words that we can put into our Word Journal!" Hugging the book to her chest, she points to the floating letters. "This word is 'surprise'! Can you spell 'surprise'?" She pauses for a moment, then continues, making a 'follow me' motion with her free hand. "Come on! Spell 'surprise' with me!"
Pibby points to each letter as she slowly spells out the word, pausing in between each letter in expectation of you repeating after her. The acknowledged letter briefly glows and separates itself from the others as a chorus of childrens’ voices echoes her.
"S...U..." Pibby falters, her smile sagging as something seems to catch her attention. Distractedly, she gazes off to the side, narrowing her eyes as a faint sound almost seems to whisper to her.
"P?...R-r..."
The childrens’ voices are no longer echoing her, but Pibby doesn't notice as it allows her to better listen to what that strange sound is. It sounds like...
...
...static?
"I...S...E?" she finishes, as if asking a question.
Pibby snaps back to attention when Bun Bun giggles at her. "That's not right, Pibby!"
Pibby blinks. Frowning, she looks up at the word. Squinting, her eyes move to each letter as she tries to find her error.
Bun Bun doesn't take notice of her confusion as he runs up closer to you. "Quick! Pibby needs our help to spell 'surprise'! Can you help Pibby with me?" He pauses, giving you a moment to respond. Pibby, meanwhile, spares one last look off to the side before blushing and smiling nervously back at you. Still, Bun Bun doesn't notice and cheerfully continues with, "great!"
Running back to Pibby's side, Bun Bun points up at the letters. "Ready? Spell 'surprise' with me!" He starts to spell in the same manner Pibby had, the childrens’ voices once more echoing the spelled letters.
"S...U...*R*,-" there was a greater emphasis put on the 'R', both verbally and as it grew larger than the other letters. "-P...R...I...S...E! SURPRISE!"
The childrens’ voices cheer while a series of toy trumpets and slide whistles play a basic tune of triumph.
Pibby, regaining her cheerful demeanor, ruffles the top of the giggling Bun Bun's head. "That's right! Thanks so much for your help, Bun Bun!" Pibby looks to you, "and thank you for the help, too! Let's put the words in our journal!"
Opening up her journal, the words shrink down as they're sucked inside its pages. Once every letter has disappeared, Pibby snaps the journal shut and stashes it away.
"But what's the big surprise, Pibby?" Bun Bun asks.
Pibby hums, tapping her chin thoughtfully. Shrugging, she replies, "I don't know, Bun Bun. Let's see if any of our friends know what the surprise is!"
"Okay!"
Pibby once more motions for you to follow. "Come on! Let's go find some of our friends!"
Pibby takes off running, Bun Bun right on her heels.
As they run down the path, hand in paw, with a skip in their step, an upbeat jingle accompanies them.
Pibby: Every day, there's something new to learn!
Bun Bun: Every day, there's something new to see!
Pibby: We'll learn new words and have some fun!
Both: So come and learn with me!
The two come to a stop, and Pibby immediately points behind her. "Look! It's my cousin Dai-... Daisy?"
When she actually looked behind her, Pibby had to do a double take to realize that there was no one there. Frowning, she scanned the area. It looked like the spot where they were supposed to be. It was another open field, distinguishable only by the sparse trees scattered around the area. There was also a banner spread out on the grass surrounded by paint brushes and buckets of paint of varying colors.
What instantly tipped Pibby off to something being wrong was that most of the paint buckets were knocked over and scattered about, staining the pastel grass with each color of the rainbow. Daisy was messy with paint, yes, but never to this level of being wasteful; and she always cleaned up after herself.
Bun Bun, on the other hand, wasn't coming to the same conclusions. All he could decipher from the scene was that there was no Daisy, nor any of her friends that were usually eager to help her paint a banner.
"Pibby, where's Daisy?" Bun Bun asked, his face fallen from disappointment.
Pibby stuttered, "I-I...-" before resorting to calling out with a strained smile, "-Daisy? Daisy! Where are you? I-it's not the time to be playing hide and seek! Remember? We always have to clean up our messes!"
While Pibby continued to call out in every direction, Bun Bun started to look around as well. That's when his eyes fell back onto the discarded banner, where he realized that there was something written on it.
Brightening back up, he got Pibby's attention. "Pibby, look! It's another word of the day! Daisy must have left it for us!"
He ran closer to the banner, but Pibby didn't initially follow. Instead, Pibby picked up one of the multiple paintbrushes strewn about. The paint coating its bristles was dry.
Your view changes to below Bun Bun, Pibby slowly walking back to his side. But while Bun Bun continued to smile eagerly down at the banner, his body even bouncing a little in anticipation, Pibby's frown remained; too lost in thought to manage a smile.
"Hey, can you tell us what this word is?" Right after Bun Bun asks, you're given a better look at the banner.
It was written sloppily in red paint, devoid of the usual care and precision Pibby knew of her cousin and friends. They were frantic, even overlapping, but the word intended was still clear to read.
RUN
There was also looked to be what was intended as an exclamation point at the end, but whoever had written the message didn't even have the time to lift the brush; leaving a long, wobbly, dragged line of paint all the way to the banners edge where a paintbrush sat abandoned like the others.
Your view goes back to looking up at Pibby and Bun Bun. Bun Bun continues to smile at the banner, while Pibby can only stare, the paint brush having fallen from her hand. Her eyes are wider than normal, her big and bright pupils shrunken to pinpricks. Her jaw starts to fall slack before instantly snapping back into a smile too wide and unnatural compared to Pibby's signature joyful one.
"Th... That's right! Run! R-U-N! Let's do that right now!" she says hurriedly, faster than Bun Bun can process.
"But, Pibby, what about the Word Journ-Woah!"
"Come on, Bun Bun! Let's run!" Pibby insists with false cheer, grabbing Bun Bun's paw and nearly dragging the little bunny alongside her as she sprints away.
Your view doesn't follow them, remaining paused on the empty scenery. In the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, something starts to crawl into the frame. Your eyes can't catch it fast enough before your view is abruptly taken to another location.
Pibby and Bun Bun come to a stop a short distance away from a group of animals. A tortoise, a ladybug, and an alligator were huddled around several cardboard boxes. Streamers and garland were draped outside of the box, and from the indistinct blotches of colors within the box, the tortoise would occasionally pull out a party hat.
In general, their motions with the contents of the boxes were repetitive; picking items up or inching them around, only to immediately place them back in their original spot to move them all over again. It gave the appearance that they were busying themselves without actually doing anything.
Both Pibby and Bun Bun had their hands on their knees, panting as they struggled to regain their bearings. Pibby's hair had started to loosen from her normally neat twin buns, but she was too focused on trying to steady her breathing.
Still, the three animals didn't take notice of the two.
"Look!...It's our...our friends!" Pibby panted out before finally being able to take that much needed breath to steady her words. "Terry the Tortoise, Buggy the Ladybug, and Ally Gator!" she acknowledged, respectively.
As if they had been waiting for that acknowledgment, they all instantly perked up at the sound of their names. They all wave at you while Pibby and Bun Bun run up closer to them.
"Hi, everyone!" Pibby greeted, though her smile couldn't bring itself up to her normal standard of cheerfulness.
"Hi, Pibby! Hi, Bun Bun!" Buggy greeted back while Terry and Ally just waved.
"What -" Pibby starts to say, but she pauses. This time, she willingly lets her smile fall away, pressing her lips into a thin line.
"H-have any of you seen Daisy?" Pibby asked instead, her voice deflating with each word.
"We're getting ready for the-" Terry cut himself off, blinking twice as he realized what Pibby had actually asked. "Daisy? Didn't you just see her making a banner with Luna and Pixie?"
Pibby nervously rubbed her hands together, shaking her head. "No... they weren't there..."
All three started to match Pibby's worry. Even Bun Bun as he looked back and forth between Pibby and the others.
For a time, nobody spoke. They looked to one another, then to everything but one another. Pibby stared down at the floor, once more losing herself to her thoughts as they worked overtime to try to piece together an answer. Buggy kicked at the grass. Ally even went back to his repetitive shuffling of the decorations. That left the others to shuffle awkwardly in place, waiting for a non-existent cue that would magically put everything back into proper motion.
Eventually, Bun Bun broke the silence. "Pibby? What's going on?"
Pibby bit down on her lower lip. Her eyes darted back and forth as if now searching for an answer through her surroundings. Just as her own panic started to envelop her, she spared a glance at her friends and their own worried faces as they looked at her. Seeing that, Pibby took a deep breath in, let it out, then forced a big smile on her face.
"It's...A Learning Opportunity!" she cheered, her movements more animated as she threw out her arms. A pencil with 'Learning Opportunity' written on it stretched itself in an arch over her head, landing on a sketch of a yellow star.
All her friends instantly beamed at Pibby.
Your view of them was then briefly obscured by a notebook page that all five characters jumped into: Pibby besides Bun Bun on the right, with the others on the left. They all turn to address you as Pibby speaks, "Hey, everyone! Today is supposed to be a special surprise! But we can't find my cousin, Daisy?" Her brief frown wasn't like the ones before. This one was rehearsed and effortlessly replaced by a smile.
They all stepped back further into their respective corners to make room for the word 'surprise' to write itself within the dotted lines. The space they had left was clearly meant to be filled with more words, leaving a noticeably large emptiness on the page.
Still, gesturing to the single word, Pibby continued, "looking at our words of the day. Do you think any of them can help us-"
She was interrupted by the ground suddenly jolting under them, causing them all to stumble and fall to the ground. The notebook background fell back like a wall of cardboard, leaving the letters to fall onto Pibby and her friends. Terry, Pibby, and Bun Bun cried out in pain as the 'S', 'I', and 'E' hit the three on the shell, in the left eye, and on the head respectively.
Buggy and Ally gasped, quickly tending to Terry, while Pibby and Bun Bun rubbed their injuries.
They didn't have long to settle the pain, though, as a scream grabbed all of their attention.
A skunk wearing a mail carrier cap limped over to them. His right leg was obscured by some kind of black substance that pulsed and wriggled on his form. It looked so odd, the only way Pibby could think to describe it being a bunch of tiny squares connected to one another. Some were translucent around the edges, but it was otherwise a solid black.
"Mailman Moe?" Pibby asked, keeping one hand on her eye while the other started to reach out to him in concern. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
Mailman Moe was trembling, his face twisted from a thousand unseen horrors while his eyes darted back and forth.
"I-I...I was...I was on my way to deliver a letter to you, Pibby...I-I-It looked like an invitation. But...on the way..." he choked on his words, like he was seconds away from sobbing. "On the way I-" When his eyes once again darted to his left, they bulged, and he screamed like Pibby had never heard a person scream before.
When she followed his line of sight, she nearly joined him.
"Wha...what is that?!"
Whatever had attached itself to Mailman Moe was barely a fraction of what was now heading towards them. It crashed over the hills like a giant wave, smothering anything in its path. Trees were ripped out of their roots only to then be absorbed into the… the thing's being. Pibby noticed briefly that there looked to be fragments of colors within the thing. They pulsed and shifted, too blurry for her to make anything out before it changed again. It was like looking into a broken kaleidoscope.
But she couldn't dwell on that thought too long.
It was coming and coming fast.
"It's coming! Run run run!" she shrieked.
The panic was instant, everyone stumbling to stand up while already trying to break out into sprints; scraping up the once lush grass in their attempts to flee in all directions.
Mailman Moe tries to run, too, but with his leg, he's barely able to get a few steps before the black substance crashes into him. Not enveloping him, but more like consuming him like some living predator devouring its prey.
Mailman Moe tried to scream, and even that sounded off. It sounded like someone had taken his voice mid-scream and chopped it up, replaying certain parts on loop while simultaneously playing the rest of it in reverse. There wasn't enough time afforded to study that scream, though, as it was cut off abruptly when his head disappeared into the black substance.
The black substance doesn't even pause to savor Moe, instead lunging for the others. The desire to flee triumphed over everything within Ally, Buggy, and Terry. Ally shoved his friends out of the way, unintentionally knocking Terry back into the eager embrace of the black substance.
"HELP! PIBBY!"
Pibby flinches at Terry's cries, but that's all she allows herself to do.
Your view becomes just as chaotic as the scene you're forced to watch. Everything shakes, jumping from one character to another too fast to see anything substantial. You can just barely make out Bun Bun tripping and falling, having to be picked up and pulled along by Pibby as she yells, "run! Run!"
As your view attempts to follow them, it catches Buggy in her attempt to flee before both her and your view are swallowed by black.
Terrified, agonized screams from voices you're familiar and unfamiliar with blare out from your device, and none of your attempts at lowering the volume can silence their wails. Soon, the noise becomes too much for your device, and the pleas and screams are drowned out by static. It's as if your device is also screaming out in agony.
But just as quickly as that assault on your senses happens, it crashes into silence so fast the echoes of that brief torment are still ringing in your ears.
Pibby and Bun Bun crash into a house with a purple wallpaper inside and a fireplace near the door. Slamming the door and firmly pressing her back into it, Pibby slid down until she sat on the floor, heaving out each breath despite her attempts at steadying it. Bun Bun is on his knees a few feet away from her. His breathing seemed to be more hyperventilating from the stress and fear than of exhaustion. His paws shakily cup around his face as he trembles in terror.
"Pibby, what was that? What's happening?" he asks desperately, tears starting to swim in his eyes.
Pibby didn't answer him. She couldn't. Not while her own terror strangled her and kept her from catching her breath.
Bun Bun’s lips wobbled, which Pibby knew as a sign that he was seconds away from crying.
Desperate and forgoing any semblance of a smile or cheerful tone, Pibby squeezes her eyes shut and pleads, "hey, everyone! Bun Bun and I are scared because we don't know who-what that strange black goo was…-is? C-can you help us?"
…
When Pibby opened her eyes, they immediately fell onto Bun Bun. For a moment, her fear was broken at the sight of Bun Bun's petrified gaze. He's not looking at her, instead staring frozen in fear off to the side. Pibby's stomach starts to knot. She almost doesn't want to follow his gaze but ultimately forces herself to.
Pibby and Bun Bun stare at the wall. It was purple like the rest of the house, some scattered picture frames of Buggy, and a houseplant decorating that particular area.
Pibby had been to Buggy’s house before. Multiple times, in fact. There was nothing actually out of place about that particular wall. Yet, at the same time, out of all the walls in the room, seeing this fourth one made her heart sink.
Only Pibby's shrunken irises are moving as they dart back and forth, leaving the rest of her body just as petrified as Bun Bun’s.
"Wh...where did everyone go?" Bun Bun whimpers.
Pibby couldn't answer. She couldn't even find the will to look at Bun Bun. Frozen in place right down to her very thoughts. She finally snaps out of it when she hears sniffles. Her eyes move before she does, catching the sight that's able to break her out of her trance.
Bun Bun was indeed crying now. Thick streams of tears falling down his face as he looks at her. "Pibby...I'm scared," he hiccups.
It was the worst sight Pibby could ever think to see, but it was enough to give herself something to focus on and ground her thoughts. Prying herself off the door, Pibby opened her arms for Bun Bun to shuffle into. The little bunny curled up in her embrace, his entire body trembling as Pibby gently rubbed his back.
"It's gonna be okay, Bun Bun. I’m right here, so there’s no need to be scared," she says soothingly.
For this brief moment, all thoughts about the events going on outside, muddling her mind, briefly fade while she allows herself to focus on Bun Bun.
That is until Bun Bun hiccups out, "I… I don't...I don't like this surprise."
Pibby shushes him, "It's okay, Bun Bun." She chuckles, though there's not much mirth behind it. "Even our least fun adventures don't last longer than 11 minutes or so. Then everything goes back to normal, and we can go back to having more fun adventures!"
He starts to uncurl a bit, poking his head out to look at her. His tears had subsided into just pricking the corners of his eyes, something that Pibby could easily wipe away.
"Like going to Buck and Clover’s farm?"
Pibby giggles and nods. "Yup! We’ll help them with their chores and they’ll give us a big basket of carrots. And then we can take those carrots to Libby's house so that she can make us some carrot cake!"
Bun Bun uncurls fully, smiling and throwing up his paws. "I love carrot cake! Do you think that Libby will make us some after this?"
"Sure! And maybe Libby can even tell us what's happened today! Libby is so smart and always has all the answers!"
"And all the tasty treats!" Bun Bun rubs his belly while licking his lips.
Pibby giggles and Bun Bun joins in. It felt good to genuinely laugh after all that's happened. So good that they keep laughing, steadily growing louder and louder. They hug their stomachs and kick out their legs; Bun Bun even falling onto his back to kick at the air.
That all comes to an abrupt end when the faint sound of static finds its way past their laughter and to their ears. Their smiles vanish in an instant, alongside their laughter and joy.
Both their eyes widened to an almost comical size, their pupils shrunk to tiny dots. They look at each other, a silent mutual agreement to their next moves.
Evidently, the house they had taken shelter in was a giant boot fashioned with sparse details of a normal house. It had a door, windows, and even a tiled rooftop but was shaped and structured like a large brown boot.
The toe of the boot started to lift, being pried off its sole to allow just enough space for Pibby and Bun Bun to slip out of. They quietly sneak away down the large hill the boot rested on, only breaking out into running when they're sure it's safe to make any kind of noise.
"Don't worry, Bun Bun! Libby's house is just up ahead. She'll know what to do! She always knows what to do!"
Bun Bun nods, and that's all he's afforded to do before the black substance slams into him from behind. It trips him before wrapping around his lower body, slowly traveling up his tiny frame while Bun Bun can only flail uselessly in the air.
Pibby skids to a stop and lunges for Bun Bun, grabbing his paw that reached out to her. She yanks as hard as she's ever pulled before and almost seems to start to pull him free. But almost as if this black substance had been toying with her, it suddenly ripped Bun Bun from her grasp.
"PIBBY!" Bun Bun cries, desperately clawing at the air as he's pulled away.
"NO!" Pibby shrieks.
She was so focused on Bun Bun that she hadn't realized that the black substance had surrounded her. She couldn't run. And somehow, the black substance knew that, taking its time to slowly envelop her while Pibby could only futilely dart her head around to look for a way out.
"No! No! Nonononono!"
In the end, Pibby could only collapse onto her knees, trembling while covering her head with her arms as she braced for her fate.
"No! No! Please!" she cried out, trying to drown out the near deafening sounds of static and distorted screams
It couldn’t end like this! She didn’t want it to end like this! She wanted to get away somewhere! Anywhere but here! Whatever this adventure was, she just wanted it to be-
HONK!
Pibby’s eyes snapped open at the sound of a car’s honk. No, not just one; there were multiple of a variety of different honks. These honks were just one of many new senses assaulting her as they came all at once. While her ears rang with the bustling of cars, her nose picked up a foul and polluted smell. Like the very air had something floating in it that attacked her nose every time she breathed in. Also, the ground was a lot harder. It no longer felt like soft grass, but instead rough as it dug itself into her knees.
But, it was taking in those smells and sounds that made Pibby realize something; she no longer heard screaming.
Pibby slowly found the courage to lift her head, only to then rapidly dart her head back and forth at her new surroundings. This wasn't the field she was sure she was in seconds ago. And whatever that black substance was nowhere to be found.
Instead…Pibby didn't know where she was. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and her poor lungs struggled to keep up with the constant fright. She sat back onto her knees, trying to process this new scenery.
It looked like…buildings?
